Not sure on the mac...

On the PC there is an app where you can tell:

Channel 1 from the mixer to the computer : PGM1 post/prefader, PGM2, etc.
Channel 2 from the mixer to the computer : PGM1 post/prefader, PGM2, etc.


So you would set:

Channel 1: PGM1 postfader
Channel 2: PGM2 postfader.

Thats it.

I guess I am not following. The only way to do a mixtape and have on one track be the left turn table and on the second track be the right turn table is to use a computer? I want that when I am doing the mixtape, that Track 1 is Turntable 1 and Track 2 is Turntable so that I can cut and it clips each sound out for the track so when i go to production, most work is already complete.

Do you mean you are going to use a physical multitrack? If so try this:-

Connect The FlexFX into channel 1 and 2 on your multitrack
Connect one of the main outputs (booth, aux, main) into 3 and 4 on your multitrack
Turn on FlexFX on track 1
Connect your amp to your multitrack and use your multitrack to mix the channels together for monitoring

I just made this up so I've no idea if it works but it should give you PGM 1 on tracks 1 and 2 and PGM 2 on tracks 3 and 4.

nobs, this wont work... tracks 3+4 will record the mix, not only PGM2.

I'm thinking that because you have something connected to FlexFX out but not FlexFX in, the sound will not be routed back into the mixer so FlexFX will be PGM1 and master will be PGM2

Hm... not sure whether I have tried this on the TTM57, it does not work this way on the TTM56.

I've just checked it, you have to also plug a lead into the return but this doesn't need to be connected to anything. Plugging the lead into the return causes a break in the internal routing like a half normal patchbay.

Oh... ha... nice. I read about the short thing and asked why it never worked. Good to know you have to use the return's.

The only thing which is missing then is hearing the mix.

i thought they said in the new features that you are able to record into separate tracks...

but they meant record into separate tracks using regular vinyl while scratchlive software is offline... right?

oh and if this will work on windows but not on mac... Its easy to install boothcamp on your mac. make a small partition of like 32gigs and install windows (takes some time)
hella instable but at least the rec feature will work then.. right?

In SSL while running you can record A or B, but not both, with ASIO you can record both into multitrackingsoftware. Not really what alot of people were looking for with the pre/post fader of A AND B together

and isnt it possible to route channels throught fx sends etc?

ah shh, it SHOULD be possible hard and software like right?

or is it to hard on the mixer to preform the audio and record at the same time? alot of soundcards can do it, its like 4 channels out 4 in.. so why not?
